I’ll be honest—I didn’t come from a “foodie” family. I grew up on meat and potatoes, casseroles, and the occasional TV dinner. Swanson Salisbury Steak with mashed potatoes, mixed veggies, and… was it applesauce or peach cobbler?
But as I became more adventurous, I discovered that trying unique dishes and exploring diverse cuisines makes me happy. Food connects people. Many of my best stories, fondest memories, and cherished traditions revolve around food. Sharing these experiences is what inspired me to create Roger Eats.
Now that I’ve stepped back from my former career, I’m getting serious about it. On this blog, you’ll find restaurant reviews from places we visit—whether in Denver, Palm Springs, or wherever Ernie and I travel—along with recipes and the occasional rant about whatever’s on my mind.
Roger Eats is a work in progress. I’m learning as I go, so bear with me.
Thanks for reading,
Roger
